Transnational Project Meeting @ University of Suffolk, Ipswich, United Kingdom

10-11th October 2023

FORCE consortium team members met for the last time to reflect on the project period, receive evaluation feedback from the European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS), and discuss models to sustain FORCE after the project period.

We knew from the very beginning the FORCE project was ambitious, and were therefore more than satisfied to consider that the FORCE Virtual Learning Environment currently contains 25 interactive clinical case simulations, with further cases due to reach completion during and after the project period.

EFRS representatives gave their review feedback on the Diagnostic, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy strands of case simulations. Preliminary verbal reports on all three strands were positive overall. The EFRS are happy to endorse the quality of FORCE learning resources. The EFRS chairman closed with EFRS goodwill towards FORCE and committed to helping with development in any way possible.

There was absolute consensus that the project resources should have longevity and currency. Likewise we would like to see the resources expand and develop. The only way to keep the resources alive and developing is to have man power in terms of a FORCE team with time to give to maintaining and developing the resources. The people involved in the team going forward would have to have the appropriate skill set and be committed to doing the necessary work. An operational model to oversee, review and develop FORCE resources by working with the EFRS after the project period was drafted. This will be developed further in collaboration with the EFRS.
